Subject: 2010 Public Safety Cruise
Here is the information on the 2nd all-inclusive group cruise!
The trip is called the 2010 Public Safety Cruise because it will be predominately police / fire /
dispatchers however, if you have a friend or family member interested they are more than welcome.
This is an age 21 and older trip. The prices include all fees for the cruise along with an open bar card
for the week. Last year we were the only 30 people on the ship with this feature. Without it, you
would have a large bar bill at the end of the week as drink prices are $6-10 each. If you have someone
interested in the trip that does not drink alcohol they will have to book the same cruise on their own
which will not include alcohol for the trip. They can book it themselves or through the travel agent
that is handling our group.
The price does not include airfare to Miami. Last year, some of us secured a group rate closer
to the time of the cruise.
It also does not include the gratuity charge for your room steward & waiters. You can pay this
up front (typically $10ea per day) or adjust this at the end of the trip based on service received.
Attached are the prices for the 3 room types along with the dates and ports.
Deposit dates are:
Aug 19, 2009 $25 each ($50 per cabin)
Apr 22, 2010 $225 each
July 1, 2010 balance
IF YOU DONT GET AT LEAST THE $25 EA DEPOSIT DOWN BY AUG 19 YOU CAN
STILL JOIN THE TRIP LATER BUT, WILL HAVE TO PAY THE CURRENT CRUISE
RATE WHICH, LIKE AIRFARE, TENDS TO GO UP AS THE SHIP FILLS UP.
As soon as you reach $250 ea deposited, you can lock in your cabin number. Many of us did this
before the 2nd deposit deadline last year so we could pick prime cabins that also had adjoining
balconies. Ship deck plans are available on www.carnival.com
the cancellation penalty is...
if you cancel prior to 7/6/10 no penalty
if you cancel between 7/6/10 and 8/20/10 the penalty is 250.00/person
if you cancel between 8/21/10 and 9/12/10 the penalty is 50 percent
if you cancel 9/13/10 or after penalty is 100 percent
The attachments have the specific trip details along with some pictures from last years group. You
have 14 months to save up for the trip...and a tax return (hopefully)....you won't be disappointed!
